3 Nail Challenge - Favourite Song

 

I love music. If you look at my ipod it is completely varied, from really modern music to movie soundtracks.  However I don't have ONE favourite song which meant this was a pretty tough choice, so I cheated. Instead of a favourite song, I decided on my favourite artist.

 

 

I am in love with David Bowie. I first fell for him in the film Labyrinth and as I got older started delving into the back catalogue.

 

My inspiration today came from these photographs

 

 

I started with stripes of ELF Champagne, NYC Orange and Primark Neon Orange and applied with make up sponge on a base of ELF White. This reminded me of the orange hair do Bowie wore when he was Ziggy Stardust.

 

Then using a nail art brush I painted the iconic zig zag using Collection 2000 Red and Wet n Wild Denim Chrome. I used a dotter tool to create the circle that he often wore on his forehead using ELF Blush

 

 

 

 

I think they turned out ok, I wish I'd gone a bit wider with the zigzags though.
