A few new designs

So as I mentioned I've been off work for a little while. So over the last 2 weeks (I know I know) I've been trying some new designs, mostly from online inspiration.

My hands and nails are quite poorly at the moment, lots of splits and peeling :( so I'm painting on false nails (My lovely friend donated me her left overs from kits), I've got a few wheels too so plenty to practice on.

Here are few pictures of what I've been up to.

Some new styles and old favourites here, I definitely need more free hand practice and getting my striping tape just right.

I'll be back with another update soon

It has been an extremely long time

You may be surprised to see this post.  I won't lie, I'm surprised to be writing it.

Time has passed by but my love of nail art hasn't. I am currently taking some time out of work for my health and as part of my recovery I've been advised to take up a hobby.

So I'm back, I plan to post at least 3 times a week. I hope you'll rejoin me.

AHOY me hearties

When OPI released their Pirates of the Caribbean collection I loved the strange names they gave the colours. Sadly I'm too poor (sob sob) to buy OPI on a regular basis but found Skull and Glossbones for a reasonable price on ebay. Frustratingly I missed out on Stranger Tides

Today I added a temporary tattoo to my thumbs on top of 3 thin coat of Skull and Glossbones. This is such a gorgeous, subtle colour.

Is there a collection you wish you could have bought all the colours of?

My new obsession

I'm back! Uni is finished and I'm awaiting results. So in the time until graduation I get to work on my nails again!
Have you seen the new Barry M Gelly polishes? I'd seen them around and finally picked up 3 on Friday.

THEY ARE AMAZING!

I've become obsessed with Papaya. It's a coral colour which is perfect for the summer that seems to finally have arrived.

Here I'm wearing 3 coats of Papaya topped with Barry M pink iridescent glitter and a leopard style pattern in white acrylic paint.

I'm so pleased with this colour!

Hiatus

Hello lovelies,

You'll notice that it's been super quiet round here. I'm about to finish my degree so I have masses of work to get done including my dissertation.

It's unlikely that I'll be posting between now and the end of April. I've lots of ideas so I'll be back with a bang then.

Valentines nails

Hello my lovelies,

I'm sorry thst I've been MIA. I have had huge amounts of coursework to deal with.

I found a spare half hour to get my nails polished for tomorrow :)

I used Barry M White, Hedy's holographic Beyond Opal and red acrylic paint before adding a top coat.

Enjoy!

More a England!

It's so cold out still, we've had quite a heavy snowfall over the last week. It's making my skin so dry so appologies in advance!

Today I have a england's Elaine and Holy Grail Limited Edition.

Elaine is a gorgeous purple which I could happily wear as my everyday polish. 2 Coats and it's super shiny (this photo is without top coat).

I've needed a gold polish for a while and when I saw the original Holy Grail was on sale I had to have it! 3 thin coats give a wonderful shiny finish.

I am SO pleased that I've finally got my paws on some of Adina's fabulous polishes. I shall be saving up for some more!
